Background

AGE: 16
COMMUNITY: Los Guasimos, Apali.
DIAGNOSTIC: Osteogenesis Imperfecta

Rosi Belinda Espina is 16 years old from the community of Los Guasimos, Apali. Rosi was born with a medical condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which is characterized by bones that break easily from little or no apparent cause. Rosi attended a medical brigade in Los Guasimos with her mom. To get to the brigade, her mom was riding a bike with Rosi. This isn’t a safe way of traveling, especially considering Rosi’s fragile bones.

Next Steps

We want to help Rosi’s mom get a new wheelchair for her daughter, which is going to reduce the risk of an accident while riding a bike.

Call to Action

Please consider donating to help us reach our goal of $300 for Rosi’s new wheelchair.

Update

Rosi was able to get a wheelchair thanks to the University of Toronto’s medical brigade in August 2016. Her funds will be re-allocated to help other Patient Referral Cases. Thank you to her donors!
