DIAGNOSTIC: High Myopia (-5.25) and High Myopia (-5.00)

Meverdy (8 years of age) & Naomi (10 years of age) are siblings and face serious vision problems due to high myopia in both eyes. They don’t have access to healthcare in Greece and they are both literally blind without the glasses. They came to our Athens Clinic in May and were seen by Nagia, our Ophthalmologist.

Apart from the daily life’s difficulties they face, their vision problems also affect their social life and the possibility to have a normal childhood. It’s very difficult for them to communicate with others and be fully functional at school and other social environments.

Next Steps

The goal of the fundraising is to raise $444 USD / 400 euros in order to provide Meverdy and Naomi with the appropriate distance glasses they need.
